WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?

The No-Snow Globes were created by Plan B as a glimpse into what Christmas will look like if the UK Government doesn’t act on climate change.

GREAT. BUT WHO'S PLAN B?
We’re a non-profit charity who aggressively fights climate change. How aggressive? So aggressive we’re suing the UK Government.

WAIT. CAN YOU ACTUALLY SUE THE GOVERNMENT?
Yep. We can and we have. In December 2017, we submitted our claim against the Government for ‘inaction against Climate Emergency’. We expect to have a preliminary hearing in early 2018.

WHAT DID THE GOVERNMENT DO?
It’s not what they did - it’s what they didn’t do. The Government knows we’re in a climate emergency, but refuses to update the UK carbon target in line with the latest developments in science. We say that's illegal and a breach of their basic responsibilities.

HOW BIG IS THE UK'S ROLE IN CLIMATE CHANGE?
Massive. The UK is one of the biggest markets in the world and an architect of the Paris Agreement. If they update their UK carbon target, the rest of the world will probably follow.

IS CLIMATE CHANGE REALLY THAT BAD?
No, it’s worse than that. No snow is just the tip of the iceberg - flooding, food shortages, the spread of disease - all these things could happen once we cross ‘tipping points’ in the climate system. But if we act now, we could avoid these catastrophes whilst boosting our economy with millions of new jobs in clean technologies.

OK, BACK TO THE GLOBES. WHERE CAN I GET MY HANDS ON ONE?
They’re currently on display at the Winter Forest Christmas Market at Broadgate Square. Come on down and give them a shake. It will disappoint you every time.

I BET THEY MAKE AN EXCELLENT CHRISTMAS GIFT?
They sure do. That’s why we sent one to Prime Minister, Theresa May. We also gifted a few to client change deniers, Nigel Lawson and Katie Hopkins. We won’t hold our breaths for a thank you.

WHY SHOULD I SIGN THE PETITION?
Don’t think of it as a petition, think of it as a signed Christmas card for our Prime Minister. This “Christmas card” could help make our case stronger and will be shown in court. Every signature counts.

CAN I GIVE YOU A FEW QUID?

We thought you’d never ask. Lawsuits aren’t cheap, so we started a crowdfunding page. Feel free to leave as much or as little as you want. After all, tis the season for giving crowdjustice.com

ARE WE GOING TO BE OK AFTER BREXIT?
I think you’re on the wrong site. This is a climate change discussion.
